Overview

What this role is

Build the surfaces customers actually use. You'll work in Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, and Tailwind, with a design-token system instead of hand-rolled colors. Performance budgets are real (LCP, CLS); accessibility is a habit, not a checklist.

Who this is for

This is a Mid-level role on the Engineering team at Henry Onyx Studio, working remote from Remote. The lists below spell out what you will own and what we need to see in your background. If that sounds like you — and the pay band works for your life — this is worth a thoughtful application.

Responsibilities

Ship product surfaces in Next.js App Router + TypeScript + Tailwind
Pair with the product designer on workflow UX — you'll catch what Figma hides
Maintain accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and performance (LCP < 2.5s) as default
Write integration tests that catch user-visible regressions, not just unit drift

Requirements

3+ years shipping production React (Next.js or similar)
TypeScript fluency — you read complex generic types without flinching
Tailwind / CSS-variable token systems
Accessibility default — keyboard nav, focus management, ARIA where needed

Benefits & what they want you to know

Real design partnership — no fight to ship craft
Async-first, predictable shipping cadence
Career growth into senior with a documented competency ladder
Verified employer
Structured pipeline

₦10,000,000 - ₦20,000,000

Strong applications

Specific beats generic.
